Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 11th minute Ren Yang Bang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rio Arinos's Kęstutis Raziulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Paiva came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ren Yang Bang in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Ren Yang Bang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Kęstutis Raziulis made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ren Yang Bang in the 47th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodolfo Paiva's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Rodolfo Paiva spun around in front of the goal 64 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute of play forced Rio Arinos's goalkeeper Kęstutis Raziulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Paiva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kęstutis Raziulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Ren Yang Bang notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kęstutis Raziulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Chants of Rio Arinos echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
