BENFICA UNITED's Tomé Soveral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 52nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Juan Sebastián Puig got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomé Soveral quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind BENFICA UNITED's goalkeeper Tomé Soveral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Sebastián Puig in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomé Soveral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 72 minutes into the game, Zé Augusto Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BENFICA UNITED's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Camilo Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of BENFICA UNITED's goalie and right to Juan Sebastián Puig. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BENFICA UNITED's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
