In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Dochko Rodev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dochko Rodev saved Club Atletico Los Andes from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Santino Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dochko Rodev was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After 45 minutes, Pascual Carballar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colombia and the Club Atletico Los Andes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dochko Rodev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Dochko Rodev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Luis Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot.
