Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otto Kleiveland in the 5th minute. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Ahlfors having to interfere. In the 20th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Ahlfors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, SteffosPojkar FF's Maximilian Seemayer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jonatan Andreasson struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SteffosPojkar FF. Otto Kleiveland kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The throw-in from Carl Di Canio in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. Thanks to some nice moves Carl Di Canio could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Jonatan Andreasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

SteffosPojkar FF's Philip Molander was substituted for Carl Di Canio. SteffosPojkar FF's Lennart Grelsson was substituted for Jonatan Andreasson. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a SteffosPojkar FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 72 minutes, Lennart Grelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SteffosPojkar FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennart Grelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lennart Grelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SteffosPojkar FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
