The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Soeiro got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano De Bruyne came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charlie Hennenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Correa, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 38 minutes, Caetano De Bruyne made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Azevedo in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Azevedo in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Cristóvão Bezerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leão de Judá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. In the 67th minute, Jonathan Rodas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Hennenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Azevedo in the 90th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90thth minute of the game Severino Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Leão de Judá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano De Bruyne didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leão de Judá's Caetano De Bruyne in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
