The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 33rd minute of play forced AZAT MARD FC's goalkeeper Pär Löfdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The AZAT MARD FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pär Löfdahl should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Lagerberg in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. In the 79th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Löfdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Marcus Lagerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AZAT MARD FC's Pär Löfdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Åkerman came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Åkerman's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Sebastian Åkerman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Åkerman got free with Dante Lacasa in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Åkerman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Mexico walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
