Antonello Coco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Edmondo Colella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Zheng Qiang Kun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Roma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zheng Qiang Kun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Felice having to interfere. If Liu Nan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, Zheng Qiang Kun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Roma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zheng Qiang Kun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheng Qiang Kun in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Edmondo Colella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Hector Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Hector Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. Zheng Qiang Kun took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zheng Qiang Kun's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zheng Qiang Kun in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. In the 38th minute Zheng Qiang Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Qiang Kun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Federico Vida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atletico Roma made a substitution. Luigi Di Maio replaced Zheng Qiang Kun. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luigi Di Maio in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Luigi Di Maio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Roma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Atletico Roma's Luigi Di Maio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Luigi Di Maio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Luigi Di Maio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Atletico Roma fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Atletico Roma's Luigi Di Maio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luigi Di Maio took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Atletico Roma made a substitution. Peter Parker replaced Edmondo Colella. Paraguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Peter Parker scored to the left of an out of position Jacobo Nores, making the score, 0-5. In the 70th minute, Luigi Di Maio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Roma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. When Federico Vida came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Atletico Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Vida couldn't finish the play. If Federico Vida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacobo Nores didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Atletico Roma's Luigi Di Maio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-8 in the ordered_time% minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Roma's Luigi Di Maio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacobo Nores. That made the score 0-9 after 87 minutes of play. After 90 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. In the 94th minute Luigi Di Maio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Atletico Roma's Jacobo Nores threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luigi Di Maio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Jacobo Nores successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match was over Atletico Roma could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paraguay throughout the match.
