With a little luck, Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Juan Carlos Alvarez made a huge save. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 12thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner ended in Mariano Lacasa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez did a great save. In the 18thth minute of the game Linus Fredriksson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Linus Fredriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marlin FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 25th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Fredriksson in the 27th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Fredriksson in the 29th minute of the match. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Juan Carlos Alvarez made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Dionisio Panpili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Dionisio Panpili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Chile players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Marlin FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 53rd minute of play. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 54th minute. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Dionisio Panpili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Fredriksson in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute Linus Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Carlos Alvarez came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marlin FC's Linus Fredriksson in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Linus Fredriksson took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 86th minute of play. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 95th minute of play. The Marlin FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
