Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Chico de Sousa kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 4 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xu Li Sang. Chico de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jovens Democratas MZC's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Saldanha came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Jovens Democratas MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha did a great save. Dalmo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 29th minute of play. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 32 minutes, Ruy de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruy de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xu Li Sang in the 34th minute. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of the match. Dalmo Saldanha came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Milagros Fraga. But to his dismay, Milagros Fraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 43 minutes into the game, David Puyol threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Durval de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dobromir Zagrodny to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 51 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Fraga. Dalmo Saldanha was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 63rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Alonso Berganza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Li Sang in the 66th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu Li Sang, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 69th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Chico de Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Peru booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobromir Zagrodny didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. If Chico de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Rafael Gallo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Dalmo Saldanha to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
