Tobias Reuters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 8th minute of play. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 14th minute. The corner led to Peru's Eliseo Mina getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Tobias Reuters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 17th minute of play. After 22 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cheikha Fellahi who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Benigno Qwinton managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 34 minutes into the game, Jairo Gaufred threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A sloppy throw-in by Jairo Gaufred in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Luz Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Reuters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Golo Dolar made a kick off. Tobias Reuters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute of the match. Charmander City's Tobias Reuters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Charmander City from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Charmander City's goalkeeper Tobias Reuters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golo Dolar, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Tobias Reuters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Golo Dolar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tobias Reuters. That made the score 0-2 in the 76 minute of play. Charmander City's Cristobal Jurgi was substituted for Golo Dolar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Jurgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Jurgi in the 81st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Cristobal Jurgi put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Rafael Gallo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tobias Reuters. That made the score 1-3 after 87 minutes of play. In the 91st match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Tenorio to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Peru's Tobias Reuters threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 96th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Reuters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Charmander City.
