The audience thought a goal was coming when Leszek Falke got free with Julio Vera in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Zielonka Gdansk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zielonka Gdansk's goalie prevented a goal. In the 19th minute Sebastian Pyrzyce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Tomaszewski having to interfere. Jan Tomaszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Tomaszewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zielonka Gdansk's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Zielonka Gdansk's goalie and right to Juan Sebastián Puig. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Zielonka Gdansk's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 35 minutes Zielonka Gdansk's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Tomaszewski. Jan Tomaszewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leszek Falke in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Tomaszewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Tomaszewski. That made the score 0-3 after 55 minutes of play. Jan Tomaszewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Andino in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Jan Tomaszewski in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan Tomaszewski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 64 minute of play. Zielonka Gdansk made a substitution. Ganga Banga replaced Sebastian Pyrzyce. With a little luck, Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Falke came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leszek Falke went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Falke in the 82nd minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ganga Banga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 87 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Falke in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
