Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Mete y Raspa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ramirez Olazabala in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 11 minutes into the game, Romo Cardarda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ramirez Olazabala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Manex Boliaga saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. In the 34th minute, Felipe Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play forced Mete y Raspa FC's goalkeeper Ramirez Olazabala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramirez Olazabala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hasan Can Yerhum in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romo Cardarda to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Ramirez Olazabala threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ramirez Olazabala could save by the left post. In the 58th minute, Galeno Barruso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romo Cardarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romo Cardarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramirez Olazabala having to make a save. In the 67th minute, Tano Roncal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramirez Olazabala made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Hasan Can Yerhum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramirez Olazabala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Romo Cardarda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mete y Raspa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ramirez Olazabala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Mete y Raspa FC's goalkeeper Ramirez Olazabala had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After a rather tough play, Mete y Raspa FC's Justino Lago got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
