The shot was stopped by Darrel Pennington but with some difficulty. 7 minutes into the match, Puianello FC's Göksel Taşdan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abram Sarmiento hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Göksel Taşdan came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Darrel Pennington in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Axel Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Darrel Pennington was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 39th match minute, Puianello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Støylen to maneuver through the defense. When Abram Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darrel Pennington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 55th minute of play forced Puianello FC's goalkeeper Darrel Pennington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Puianello FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Kevin Mastache heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Darrel Pennington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 60th minute of play forced Puianello FC's goalkeeper Darrel Pennington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darrel Pennington was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Darrel Pennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The Puianello FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darrel Pennington should have stopped the shot. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. 85 minutes into the game, Göksel Taşdan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Puianello FC's Amedeo Di Lullo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Santino Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 92 minutes, Göksel Taşdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puianello FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göksel Taşdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th match minute, Puianello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Renzetti to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Mastache took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Darrel Pennington. Puianello FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Puianello FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
