An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 31st minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amerigo Muzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Muzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amerigo Muzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 36th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Luiz Gustavo do Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Luiz Gustavo do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Gustavo do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Luis Cazalla. Colombia made a substitution. In the 76th minute, Samuel Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Montenegro in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Hortêncio Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Montenegro came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amerigo Muzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 85th minute of the match. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Sousa in the 88th minute of play. Amerigo Muzi made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Pascual Carballar sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Ignacio Mastache sped through Floripa Lions FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amerigo Muzi. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Kevin Mastache got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
