After 7 played minutes Brasiliense FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikita Evzerihin. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel 柯景义. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel 柯景义 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 朱笑扬 struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brasiliense FC. Alfredinho de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Brasiliense FC's goalkeeper Lionel 柯景义 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lionel 柯景义 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 27th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Lionel 柯景义. Brasiliense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 朱笑扬's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Lionel 柯景义 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Brasiliense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Lionel 柯景义 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 朱笑扬 was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Lionel 柯景义 managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 78th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Brasiliense FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lionel 柯景义 made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Brasiliense FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Manuel Uncu hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lionel 柯景义. Brasiliense FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afiz Phua in the 96th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
