When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Manuel Gentza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manuel Gentza really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Estevez came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC74 Patagones pro:s Eduardo Arlo showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Zorita:s penalty. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Mariano Soter's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Soter helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Mariano Soter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 80th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eduardo Arlo but with some difficulty. 80 minutes into the game, Manuel Gentza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC74 Patagones pro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick.
