The supporters of Nuevo Horizonte booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentino Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 30th minute of play forced Nuevo Horizonte's goalkeeper Niceto Virila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Katia in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 minutes, Joshua Curbelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Nuevo Horizonte players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliberto Ramirez during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 61 minutes into the match, Nuevo Horizonte's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Luque came free, but Niceto Virila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 62nd minute. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. After 72 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Katia in the 73rd minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Paulino Katia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita, 1-1. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Paulino Katia tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Nuevo Horizonte players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented El Salvador from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
