Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gaspar Dunixi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After taking down the ball on CACYFA's corner Faustino Cuarto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 5th match minute, CACYFA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Amor to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Quirce showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 7th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 16 played minutes, CACYFA's Faustino Cuarto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CACYFA reached it. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Quirce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Luis Quirce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute CACYFA were awarded a corner. Faustino Cuarto went to the cornerflag to take it. When Gaspar Dunixi came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the CACYFA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Dunixi couldn't finish the play. After 36 minutes of play, CACYFA's Gaspar Dunixi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Quirce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Adolfo Jorrin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaspar Dunixi made a kick off. Luis Quirce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Dunixi in the 57th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Dunixi in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Luis Quirce in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis Quirce having to make a save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Dunixi in the 67th minute of the match. Adolfo Jorrin charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Jorrin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adolfo Jorrin hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Quirce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 79th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when CACYFA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Tomasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Quirce was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Daniel Zorita had several of the CACYFA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Luis Quirce as he didn't even see the shot coming. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Dunixi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Gaspar Dunixi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, CACYFA could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
