Angelino Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Breckenfeld in the 20th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Virgílio Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Guillermo Mariano made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tomas Illescas. In the 32nd minute, Virgílio Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Reko-Recko 03™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 40th minute, Glauco Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After having played for 43 minutes, Virgílio Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reko-Recko 03™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgílio Trigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Virgílio Trigo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgílio Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Reko-Recko 03™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute of the game Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in which Tomas Illescas played forward. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Angelino Nueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Breckenfeld in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Trigo in the 73rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Glauco Breckenfeld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reko-Recko 03™'s Federico Valverde was substituted for Glauco Breckenfeld. Reko-Recko 03™ made a substitution. Zé Augusto Moura replaced Cipriano de Toledo. Reko-Recko 03™ made a substitution. Amílton do Valle replaced Carlos Augusto Sá. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Trigo in the 83rd minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Federico Valverde notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Virgílio Trigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Reko-Recko 03™'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
