After 8 minutes, Lukas Lundgren made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, POSSE 1911 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Cambeiro came free, but Angel Xabel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sérgio Aguero's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Angel Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 18th minute of play. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Sérgio Aguero scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Aguero came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lukas Lundgren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Lukas Lundgren slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 31st minute. Angel Xabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Lukas Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Sérgio Aguero scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 4-0. Tomas Berganza's late challenge caught a POSSE 1911 FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Berganza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Panama booed when POSSE 1911 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mincho Shahanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Aguero in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Nicasio Amor made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 58th minute, Lukas Lundgren made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Matro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. POSSE 1911 FC's Angel Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Lukas Lundgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POSSE 1911 FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Lundgren in the 80th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to POSSE 1911 FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Modesto Bernat hit a great ball. Angel Xabel came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Isidoro Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lukas Lundgren in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
