Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 47th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Cassius Byrne got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Higinio Aguilera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Jyrki Sillanpää made the kick off in the second half. Higinio Aguilera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 56 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Higinio Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led USA's Jacob May to a score. 1-3 in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Higinio Aguilera in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jyrki Sillanpää scored 2-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Luís Fábio Rocha replaced Indiana Jones. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. The supporters of USA booed when Los Hijos de Doña Beija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jyrki Sillanpää didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sam Campbell in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higinio Aguilera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sam Campbell struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Higinio Aguilera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. With his leg Higinio Aguilera managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when USA's Sam Campbell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 81st minute of the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Sam Campbell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
