The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Aron Fredriksson in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Bantayan BK's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Sancho came free, but Aron Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Espiga. A collision led to Bantayan BK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dan Rudkvist hit a great ball. Kåre Källberg made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Åke Strömberg however managed to control. Frank Åkerberg made in the 26th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Åke Strömberg immediately put the ball in play. Hubert Berglund struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bantayan BK. Holger Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Aron Fredriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hubert Berglund fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bantayan BK's protests and gave Hubert Berglund a yellow card for diving instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Emanuel Ocampo put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bantayan BK:s goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Villa to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Bantayan BK got a freekick which was hit by Kåre Källberg. Hubert Berglund kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Sebastian Villa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Fredriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Dalman during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bantayan BK's John Dalman got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Aron Fredriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Åke Strömberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bantayan BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Åke Strömberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Holger Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lennart Vennerström. Frank Åkerberg made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kåre Källberg immediately put the ball in play.
