Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sven-Olof Gummeson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th minute, Aaron Lundqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven-Olof Gummeson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Mantorp were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edvard Palmkvist took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mexico's goalie and right to Aaron Lundqvist. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mexico's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some careless play in the Mantorp defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven-Olof Gummeson. The Mantorp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Olof Gummeson should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 30 in the game by Aaron Lundqvist from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Mantorp's Anders Olofsson got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Olof Gummeson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernt Kihlberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 36 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven-Olof Gummeson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Sven-Olof Gummeson came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Edvard Palmkvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Mantorp's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson did a great save. With a little luck, Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Mantorp defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven-Olof Gummeson. The Mantorp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Olof Gummeson should have stopped the shot. After having played for 73 minutes, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Facundo Cadaval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Sven-Olof Gummeson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 79 minutes, Bernt Kihlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mantorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernt Kihlberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdemar Björkman during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes Mantorp got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Björkman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 88th minute of play forced Mantorp's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gummeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Sven-Edvin Henriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Olof Gummeson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 92nd minute. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
