Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 19th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match, Grabiel Escorcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Juaneizu Merida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Juaneizu Merida. Nacional's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Camilo Candido hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Julian Murillo sped through Nacional's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juaneizu Merida. Nacional's Damiano Fioravanti was substituted for Mendiko Bueres. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Nacional defense, Luz Tejedor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juaneizu Merida. The Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juaneizu Merida should have stopped the shot. Nacional's Ranolfo Piedrahita was substituted for Luciano Inverso. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 76th minute of the match. After 77 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xu Sha who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Nacional's José Luis Rodríguez to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xu Sha in the 79th minute. After 79 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by José Luis Rodríguez. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Camilo Candido got a throw-in 84 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Damiano Fioravanti. 91 minutes into the match, Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Tenorio. 94 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ranolfo Piedrahita came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Xu Sha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Peru's Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nacional.
