Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Cristian-Federico Dolić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Yao Ying in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Guo Han Di showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 8th minute of the match. Guo Han Di took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Guo Han Di reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guo Han Di showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Guo Han Di reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Zhao Yao Ying tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filippo Bobbio made a great header on Oldham Athletic's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Zhao Yao Ying's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Guo Han Di made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Oldham Athletic booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Oldham Athletic's Filippo Bobbio tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play forced Oldham Athletic's goalkeeper Guo Han Di to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guo Han Di showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zhao Yao Ying stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guo Han Di made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Luis Andino sent off a good shot on target. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Oldham Athletic's goalkeeper Guo Han Di, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Guo Han Di made a huge save. Anxo Cecilia charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anxo Cecilia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anxo Cecilia hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Yao Ying in the 59th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian-Federico Dolić in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goalkeeper Guo Han Di had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Guo Han Di could save by the left post. Oldham Athletic's Valter Abrahamsson was substituted for Anxo Cecilia. Oldham Athletic made a substitution. Gösta Brolin replaced Muhammed-Emir Benice. Oldham Athletic made a substitution. Sune Axelsson replaced Cristian-Federico Dolić. After 73 minutes Oldham Athletic's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Oldham Athletic's Guo Han Di played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play. Oldham Athletic's Guo Han Di proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Oldham Athletic from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Guo Han Di didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. It was a well-played corner which Cristian Sancho managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Axelsson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Oldham Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sakarias Walmarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
