Polly Magoo Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After a rather tough play, Polly Magoo Juniors's German Cibran got a free kick in the 7th minute. Markus Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Markus Fågel having to make a save. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper Markus Fågel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 14 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Agustín Saelices. Gösta Bergman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Markus Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gösta Bergman kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Markus Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Polly Magoo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Bergman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Polly Magoo Juniors's Markus Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. Zhuang Wen Bang kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Markus Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Tunberg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gisbert made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. After some careless play in the Polly Magoo Juniors defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Fågel. The Polly Magoo Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Fågel should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Fågel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Tunberg in the 67th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 69th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Erik Tunberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Polly Magoo Juniors's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Fågel came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Polly Magoo Juniors's Isak Stålman was substituted for Jan-Erik Tunberg. Markus Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 77th minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Markus Fågel firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 83rd minute Isak Stålman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Isak Stålman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 90 minutes into the game, Polly Magoo Juniors's Isak Stålman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Polly Magoo Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
