Joaquin Gayoso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sture Söderberg. In the 28th minute, Vincent Hääger made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Uruguay's attentive Kevin Carballal managed to snatch the ball when Lukas Lind made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Daniel Persson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Christian Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximiliano Escribano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Mårtensson. That made the score 3-3 in the 76 minute of play. Camilo Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Hääger in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Marieholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sture Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Christian Mårtensson firmly grabbed it by the left post.
