Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marieholm the free kick. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 6th minute. The supporters of Marieholm booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Marieholm getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Malcolm Påk hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Söderberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Malcolm Påk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-0. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Ros was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 24th minute. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Påk in the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charlie Söderberg during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Charlie Söderberg hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Mårtensson. Marieholm's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Påk came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Marieholm's Malcolm Påk. But to his dismay, Malcolm Påk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marieholm's Christian Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 43rd minute of play. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Christian Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of the match.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Björn Jespersson made a kick off. Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Marieholm getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Björn Jespersson hit a great ball. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Mårtensson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Cambeiro's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Daniel Persson scored 3-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christian Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 66th minute of play. In the 78th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Mårtensson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. Malcolm Påk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Påk came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
