Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Zanko Shosev made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Kutlubay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lütfi Kutlubay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Zanko Shosev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lütfi Kutlubay saved Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zanko Shosev in the 13th minute of play. Lütfi Kutlubay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Zanko Shosev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Zanko Shosev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Zanko Shosev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zanko Shosev in the 30th minute of play. Lütfi Kutlubay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Kutlubay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lütfi Kutlubay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Zanko Shosev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Zanko Shosev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lütfi Kutlubay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zanko Shosev in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 65 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zanko Shosev's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute Zanko Shosev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lütfi Kutlubay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. Lütfi Kutlubay didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's João Carlos Mesquita was substituted for Mateus Salles. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sal Darby's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Lütfi Kutlubay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of play. Zanko Shosev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Lütfi Kutlubay in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
