Paços de Ferreira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Joaquim Roriz fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Paços de Ferreira's protests and gave Joaquim Roriz a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquim Roriz hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st match minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Vieira to maneuver through the defense.
