Aureliusz Dziuma might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliusz Dziuma ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliusz Dziuma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Ante Todo Mucha Calma's goalkeeper Jeffry Latuperisa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 60 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliusz Dziuma came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Gizon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Jeffry Latuperisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Gizon in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
