Luka Beaugendre hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Ronaldo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Alcântara got free with Julio Vera in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anísio Lucas hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Ferreira Lopes MZC:s Tomé Montenegro showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Zorita:s penalty. In the 31st play minute Ronaldo Alcântara came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 2-0. Tomé Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 35th minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ferreira Lopes MZC made a substitution. Herald Depauw replaced Luka Beaugendre. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara in the 55th minute of play. Ferreira Lopes MZC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedé Paiva took the corner. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Martins in the 59th minute of play. Franklin Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dário Martins in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Montenegro having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dário Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when Anísio Lucas put in a rough tackle. In the 76th minute, one of Ferreira Lopes MZC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ferreira Lopes MZC. Tomé Montenegro had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Kağan Erol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Ferreira Lopes MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Martins to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Dário Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
