Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Fernando Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. In the 16th play minute Alejo Urtun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 1-0. El Millo de Haedo's Fernando Ruisko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. Fernando Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Ruisko was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Hernán Crespo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. The wind increased when Hernán Crespo made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernán Crespo in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the match, El Millo de Haedo's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Fernando Ruisko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Urtun in the 58th minute of play. Fernando Ruisko came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. After 71 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Pedro Gonzalez's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After 85 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernán Crespo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. El Millo de Haedo's Fernando Ruisko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save El Millo de Haedo from getting a goal against them. The El Millo de Haedo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
