After a defensive mix-up in FC Röyers Raketer's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Turina came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Dean Irving kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 24th match minute, FC Röyers Raketer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanek Poremba to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xande Atom in the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Röyers Raketer's Dean Irving got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Turina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Röyers Raketer getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Julian Cymbal hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xande Atom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Cymbal came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Julian Cymbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Turina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Röyers Raketer's Andréas Törnqvist was substituted for Xande Atom. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Röyers Raketer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xande Atom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Törnqvist in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivan Turina, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, FC Röyers Raketer's Pelle Björnsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venezuela succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Röyers Raketer had controlled the match.
