An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxi Moco in the 6th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxi Moco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 6th playminute. In the 11th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Garaona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maxi Moco in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Lamarque F. C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cristian Romero hit a great ball. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. When Lamarque F. C.'s Maxi Moco in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lamarque F. C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxi Moco in the 34th minute of play. Basilio Garaona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lamarque F. C.'s zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Garaona came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalamodaka Obronny took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cristian Romero got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Epifanio Roano. Venezuela's attentive Jose Correa managed to snatch the ball when Cristian Romero made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Kaminski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxi Moco in the 73rd minute of play. Basilio Garaona made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute of the match Fabricio Bustos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Basilio Garaona in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamarque F. C. the free kick. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Lamarque F. C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
