Jerrold Valcarcel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Amorebieta in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Atlético Ourense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Sánchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Atlético Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Martinelli came free, but Jerrold Valcarcel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jacinto Cuadrado managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Atlético Ourense's Tartalo Rajoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Atlético Ourense's Jerrold Valcarcel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Amorebieta in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Atlético Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Banaszak came free, but Jerrold Valcarcel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Cuadrado made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Unai Calatayud sent off a good shot on target. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jerrold Valcarcel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiusz Banaszak in the 38th minute of play. Jacinto Cuadrado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Unai Calatayud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Merih Sikevich hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hitzeder Manrique stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Atlético Ourense's Herberto Palacios seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Herberto Palacios the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atlético Ourense protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Herberto Palacios had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Atlético Ourense:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Boca Juniors:s goal. 53 minutes into the match, Hitzeder Manrique had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerrold Valcarcel. Atlético Ourense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hitzeder Manrique was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 56th minute Rolando Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerrold Valcarcel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Tartalo Rajoi came free, but Jacinto Cuadrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Boca Juniors's Rolando Amorebieta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Jerrold Valcarcel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Amorebieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Boca Juniors played a much better game than Atlético Ourense and deserved their victory. The Atlético Ourense players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
