Mrocezenko SSA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Mrocezenko SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Robert Scigan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Mrocezenko SSA defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Scigan. The Mrocezenko SSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Scigan should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Scigan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Scigan was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. A collision led to Mrocezenko SSA getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Mrocezenko SSA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Lato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Lucjan Pisarczyk made the kick off in the second half. In the 79th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Robert Scigan. 0-7. With a little luck, Mrocezenko SSA's Robert Scigan got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute Lucjan Pisarczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mrocezenko SSA throughout the match.
