Anselmo Papo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Papo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 31st minute of play forced Real Ale Madrid's goalkeeper Anselmo Papo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Zachariasz Hoffman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Anselmo Papo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 played minutes Real Ale Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Stew Weeks. In the 40th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Papo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anselmo Papo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Papo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anselmo Papo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Ale Madrid's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Luis Andino advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Real Ale Madrid's Stew Weeks got a free kick in the 57th minute. A collision led to Real Ale Madrid getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cătălin Dumitrescu hit a great ball. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Anselmo Papo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Real Ale Madrid's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 68th match minute, Real Ale Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orson Mulford to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Ale Madrid's goalkeeper Anselmo Papo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Real Ale Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stew Weeks to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Grealish recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seb Thackray during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Real Ale Madrid getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Seb Thackray hit a great ball. Real Ale Madrid's Anselmo Papo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Real Ale Madrid from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anselmo Papo quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Real Ale Madrid's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Real Ale Madrid's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Real Ale Madrid's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Zachariasz Hoffman kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Anselmo Papo made a huge save.
