Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Backlund in the 4th minute of play. Ture Ahlstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hjalmar Backlund in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jörgen Linquist struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Swedish Nightmare. The audience was convinced that Ture Ahlstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The Swedish Nightmare's Edgar Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 23rd minute of play. In the 30th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A very good chance for a goal. The throw-in from Felix Garrido in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by The Swedish Nightmare's Ahmed Ouadah.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Hjalmar Backlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Edgar Åström made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Jorginho Meirelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, The Swedish Nightmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Linquist to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Swedish Nightmare's goalkeeper Edgar Åström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Åström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Edgar Åström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
