In the 11th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Barciniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 87th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Carballar to maneuver through the defense. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Mielak in the 88th minute of play. Abram Secada received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arkadiusz Barciniak came out and tried to block the shot, but Abram Secada slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 90th minute. Arkadiusz Barciniak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Abram Secada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arkadiusz Barciniak. The goal made the score 2-3. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
