Jairo Unai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Emiliano Leiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. A hard shot 53 in the game by Moises Fernandino from a close distance when the talented Jairo Unai managed to make a qualified save. The Pontiac Bandit's players were relieved. A sloppy throw-in by Valentino Ferrant in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Pontiac Bandit's Sixto Felipillo. When Moises Fernandino fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Moises Fernandino a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a little luck, The Pontiac Bandit's Jairo Unai got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Pontiac Bandit's Elias Jakue quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mateo Leguizamo, made in the 65th minute of the game. Abram Luque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Jairo Unai when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in The Pontiac Bandit's zone, Moises Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Unai came out of the goal and Moises Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of The Pontiac Bandit booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Yepes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Though ot was a great shot The Pontiac Bandit's keeper Jairo Unai was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 92 minutes into the game, Luis Rubio threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Pontiac Bandit's Sixto Felipillo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Salvador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
