The audience was convinced that Jerónimo Lessa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. A collision led to Dividing By Zero FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ben Takle hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Albin Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dividing By Zero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albin Söderström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Fagrell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Ekeroth.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Adam Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dividing By Zero FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 55th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dividing By Zero FC's Sixtus Skottfelt was substituted for Jerónimo Lessa. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixtus Skottfelt in the 66th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven Ekeroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Bergomi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Dividing By Zero FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
