The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telis Bezas in the 4th minute of play. Telis Bezas might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Telis Bezas ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Telis Bezas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glyka Nera FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Telis Bezas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Telis Bezas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Escribano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vassilis Parianos was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 24th match minute, Glyka Nera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlos Stamatis to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Cazalla's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Vassilis Parianos on his right side and into the goal. 33 minutes into the game it was 0-2. Francisco Seco succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Francisco Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Francisco Seco hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Glyka Nera FC defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vassilis Parianos. The Glyka Nera FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vassilis Parianos should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Telis Bezas made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vassilis Parianos. Glyka Nera FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Glyka Nera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telis Bezas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Parianos having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Glyka Nera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktoras Gavriilidis to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Viktoras Gavriilidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vassilis Parianos. Vassilis Parianos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 81st minute Nikos Lianos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vassilis Parianos came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Vassilis Parianos made a huge save. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pavlos Stamatis, made in the 89th minute of the game. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great ball.
