Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bengt Colin got the match started through his kick off. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Wester in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Colin came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Johannes Ahlquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Odén having to interfere. In the 14th minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Odén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt Colin in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 29th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Kristian Odén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 33rd minute of play. Leif Classons short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Påk, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Örjan Isaksson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Marcus Wester tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ralles Bollklubb's Bengt Colin, in the 47th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ralles Bollklubb. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The Ralles Bollklubb fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Ralles Bollklubb's Leif Classon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ralles Bollklubb's Leif Classon got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Marcus Wester had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Wester was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Eliseo Noboa's late challenge caught a Ralles Bollklubb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute Bengt Colin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Wester in the 74th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Classon, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute.
