Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Aniceto Campello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erhan İren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erhan İren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aniceto Campello in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Rito came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Teɱperłey Cɨŧy got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gunnar Hake ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 36 played minutes, Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's Raul Rito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Teɱperłey Cɨŧy reached it. 38 minutes into the game, Aniceto Campello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aniceto Campello in the 43rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Aniceto Campello made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Rito in the 51st minute of the match. In the 51st minute Raul Rito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd match minute, Teɱperłey Cɨŧy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzales Rivera to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute really tested Erhan İren's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aniceto Campello in the 60th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. The supporters of Teɱperłey Cɨŧy booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. When John Ryberg came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Teɱperłey Cɨŧy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Ryberg couldn't finish the play. Elias Cristofol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Elias Cristofol might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elias Cristofol ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match Teɱperłey Cɨŧy got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gunnar Hake ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's Doriva Britto to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 90th minute, Elias Cristofol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Teɱperłey Cɨŧy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Felix Montes's late challenge caught a Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Montes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's Elias Cristofol in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. The Teɱperłey Cɨŧy support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
