Despite this Boris Kerth quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Erik Ljusberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erik Ljusbergs short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boris Kerth. Boris Kerth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Boris Kerth. Mish Fútbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Mish Fútbol Club's Boris Kerth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boris Kerth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Mish Fútbol Club's Erik Ljusberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 41st minute, Mish Fútbol Club's Matias Chumo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Matias Chumo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mish Fútbol Club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Matias Chumo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 41st minute, one of Mish Fútbol Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mish Fútbol Club. Mish Fútbol Club:s Boris Kerth showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Zorita:s penalty. In the 47th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Kerth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Ljusberg to make the kick off. Stasio Kochowski kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Mish Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Boris Kerth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mish Fútbol Club's Erik Ljusberg got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Ljusberg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mish Fútbol Club's Mehmet Ferit Zafir got a free kick in the 64th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Ljusberg in the 67th minute of play. Boris Kerth was a little too slow when Agustín Saelices got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-5. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Ljusberg in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Boris Kerth. Boris Kerth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
