An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Deckberg in the 6th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arne Kilström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Morgan Blom notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of play forced AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Arne Kilström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off.
