Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gabriele Batistuta kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Gabriele Batistuta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menchu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Camilo Gisbert made in the 13th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta. But to his dismay, Gabriele Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Camilo Salvidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Gabriele Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Menchu FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Salvidor came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriele Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriele Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Camilo Salvidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 62 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho scored 4-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Salvidor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Primitivo Rocendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Primitivo Rocendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Menchu FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Basarab Jupân hit a great ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Menchu FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
