Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriele Batistuta's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 17th minute of play. Gabriele Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriele Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Gabriele Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriele Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 30 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute of the match Menchu FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucas Martínez Quarta ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Gabriele Batistuta managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 37th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucas Martínez Quarta who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriele Batistuta to strike the kick off in the second half. Uriel Gorri charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uriel Gorri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, Uriel Gorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Menchu FC made a substitution. Arturo Roderigo replaced Peter Söderqwist. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Uriel Gorri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdoulay Doucouré took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Gabriele Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Uriel Gorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Menchu FC made a substitution. Primitivo Rocendo replaced Uriel Gorri. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Rocendo in the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Rocendo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Abdoulay Doucouré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. If Primitivo Rocendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Menchu FC's Primitivo Rocendo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Menchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Rocendo in the 91st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Menchu FC fully deserved thier win.
