Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Dionisio Zubizarreta sent off a good shot on target. After 11 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. A hard shot by Dionisio Zubizarreta from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Dante Lacasa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 14 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Zubizarreta came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víctor Valdés made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 18th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coronel Paredes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Coronel Paredes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. Dionisio Zubizarreta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 39th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Calaflores FC.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Coronel Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Calaflores FC.'s Dionisio Zubizarreta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

57 minutes into the match, Calaflores FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Víctor Valdés reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 played minutes Calaflores FC. got a freekick which was hit by Alphonso Davies. In the 63rd minute Gaskon Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Calaflores FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alphonso Davies didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Víctor Valdés in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Calaflores FC.'s goalkeeper Víctor Valdés had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. In the 70th minute Coronel Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alphonso Davies's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alphonso Davies helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Alphonso Davies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Zubizarreta in the 74th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Zubiaga in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calaflores FC.'s goalkeeper Víctor Valdés, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Calaflores FC.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Mexico's Macos Graciani was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Víctor Valdés in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dionisio Zubizarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
